Engine room Junction Box - on left side of Engine Compartment (Drivers side in USA) - Fuse RAD 1 (20A), Fuse RAD 3 (30A) - there is another fuse that goes to your ECU, it works with the radio, but you won't need to pull it. In case you do - it is Fuse ECU-B (10A)

I have a 1997 pontiac grand prix gt. I need help bad. My car has constant power running through it and its killing my battery. I think it started when I had my buddy redo my radio so I think he messed with...

As with any battery drain, you would pull the fuses and disconnect the major circuits while watching a test light or meter that is showing the drain. When you find the circuit in question the light goes off.
Then the fun begins trying to find the source of the drain. In your case you may want to start with disconnecting the radio. You may need a shop manual to get the wiring diagrams.

2001 dodge grand caravan sport.Grandkids left light on and killed Battery. Jumped the van got it started notice this morning going to work my Radio and speedometer isnt working.Checked fuses but none...

Make sure to check the engine compartment fuses and the inside fusebox, if all the fuses look good then try to unhook the battery and then connect it back on and start the van and see if this helps. the radio is it asking for a code, if this radio has antitheft then you will need to install the code to make it work, look at manual and it will tell you how to do this. the code is entered using the preset staition buttons, there should be a card in the glovebox with the radio code if it has antitheft. if you find no bad fuses then you may have short out the cluster jumping it, but most of the time it just needs a fuse or reseting by removing neg battery terminal for about 2min, good day let me know the outcome.

I am trying to install a radio in my kia but it wont turn on, I've tryed two radios. So i figure its a fuse problem and I know the radio fuse is in the interior fuse panel on the drivers side but mine...

If you are NOT grounding the radio CASE it will NOT operate, take a two ended alligator clip wire, clip one on a suitable ground, the other on the radio case, the radio lights should now come one IF an internal fuse is not blown?? check to see IF there is one?? follow the wire that goes to the radio wire, back to the fuse panel, is the easiest way to find the correct fuse??

Geo tracker lights and radio not working

power loss.
any good car elect. tech find this pronto.
just takes a volt meter to find the voltage drop point.

top fails:
1: corroded fuse box on right front finder (under fuse box)
2: did you say it kills motor too. cant figure above.

what about heater fan, it uses tons of current.
as does HL followed by tails.

20amps, 15amps and 5amps respectively

you have resistance some where.
and load , kills the voltage .

for me.
i'd:
check battery voltage , when it dims out.
then of ok 12.5v is ok key on,not started.
then check voltages at a right fender , fuse panel
all points there, 12.5vdc , same as battery v.
if OK
then
check voltage at the fuse above right knee
with load full, hl, fan, brakes, just key on.

now you know what circuit is fail ing by now.

report back with this facts.

Radio fuse

If you think that the problem is in the radio, so why you don't replace it?
