Based on what you described, there is a short in the circuit for signal turn-on sharing with all of reading devices as tachometer, fuel gauge.. in parallel. Therefore when there is big current goes to the signal path, nothing is going to feed the others... You are at the right approach.
However, I rather check all contacts from your light bulbs, since when too much current is consumed at this signal circuit, there is not enough current to feed to tachometer, fuel gauge....The same problem was happened to me few years back. Hope that you have the same one. Good luck.

THE TURN SIGNAL SWITCH IS MOST LIKELY ONE OF YOUR PROBLEMS, BUT THAT WOULD NOT CAUSE THE GAUGE PROBLEM, THIS YEAR HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE ELECTRICAL SWITCH THAT THE KEY SWITCHES ON TO START THE CAR AND RUN THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS, IT IS ATTACHED TO THE BACK OF THE IGNITION LOCK KEY CYLINDER, OTHER POSSIBILITIES ARE THE ENGINE IS RUNNING COLD AND THIS KEEPS THE GAUGE FROM MOVING, THE GAS GUAGE MAY BE A SENDING UNIT PROBLEM INSIDE THE GAS TANK.

04 Hyundai, Hazards Work But No Turn signals

Always check the bulbs first. Then check for power ant the bulb socket. If the fuses are ok( some have seperate fuses for right and left).......More than likely its a relay wich should be located on or near the fuse panel. The turn signal and hazards usualy have the same type of relay. Swap the turn signal and hazard relays. If the problem is then oposite of what you had before, then replace the relay....

Signal lights, fuel gage, temp gage not working. Could it be the signal light relay? Where is it located?

This sounds like you have blown a fusible link! Check your main fuses first.

Turn Signals/blinkers

Did you double-check to be sure the fuses are intact and not blown? If they are OK, it could be a turn signal relay or the switch itself (I have firsthand experience with the switch failing with respect to headlight operation, so there's no reason to believe that it couldn't fail for turn signal operation as well).

If you find that it's the switch, reply here and I can walk you through its replacement - it's about a five minute job.
