Question about 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier
Power windows will only go part way down and will only go up very little at a time. can take hours before you can get it back up...if it goes up at all.
The window regulator and/or window motor is getting bad. Mine did the same thing and I replaced the motor and it still ran slow, then replace the regulator and now it works great!

All windows do this?? If so you may need to replace the drivers door main switch control as all power feeds thru it to each motor.

SOURCE: driver's window doesn't go down.
The contacts on the window switch are most likely burnt. The switch is probably going to need to be replaced. I have taken a few apart and cleaned them up, but, there are a lot of small pieces that WILL fall out once you take the switch apart.

it is in your switch pannel try pushing it to the side and up at same time or just let off a bit after pressing all the way or of course replace it.
