WE HAVE A 2004 TOYOTA CAMRY AND THE DRIVERS SEAT HAS BROKEN SPROCKET UNDER THE DRIVERS SIDE. YOU CAN MOVE THE POWER SEAT BACKWARD AND ANY OTHER DIRECTION BUT BACK. WE HAVE BEEN TOLD WE HAVE TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE SEAT AS IT IS A WHOLE UNIT. VERY COSTLY FOR US. HAS THERE BEEN ANY OTHER OWNERS COMPLAINING OF THIS ISSUE. SEAT IS SECURE TO USE BUT NOT TO MOVE.

I really can't explain it any better. Look, hows this, our seat is broke and one or more of the teeth in the auger that moves the seat forward and backward is broken off. Is it true you have to replace the whole seat in a 2004 Camry or can JUST the "power mechanism" be changed out for a new one?
That is really what I want to know..A Toyota service man told my husband it was 1 whole unit welded together, so we would have to have a total new seat and it's power mechanism replaced at a cost of $500 for the whole thing + labor.

2004 honda pilot drivers power seat not working

First and simplest thing is to check fuses for power seat; there's 1 in the engine compartment and 2 (forward/backward and tilt) in the interior, passenger side fuse box. Check your Owners manual for location.

Check under the seat, make sure the connectors are still plugged in. Also check the fuses under the hood in fuse box on the drivers side.

Drivers seat problems

if the seat goes in one direction and no the other it will definately be the switch and not the wires. two wires feed power if one of the wires were bad the seat would not move at all so you will need to change the switch.

The front driver seat on 2004 Camry is stuck

Perhaps an item got caught under the seat and possibly affected the linkage wire between rail tracks.A small linkage wire trips the console side track.Without this, that particular track will not disengage.Look under the good working passenger side seat and you might notice this linkage wire.It will then give you an opportunity to see if it works well on the inop seat. You can pull that wire(or trip that linkage arm by hand if you are in a dilemma and need the seat moved in order to drive but use caution on these moving parts and dont get pinched.

Broken power seat - cannot slide backward. Can I slide it manually?

Ck for debri or other objwcts in way of tracks Does it try to move? If so, there is an obstruction, If not trying or no sound when switch is moved, could very well be a fuse or the forward limit switch is being affected by excess forward travel. Move the switch yo back and without kinda help it. if it's trying.

Drivers electic seat will not adjust

I just had the same problem. When the seat is powered all the forward, one of the worm drives reached the end of its travel and jammed against the threaded block that it passes through. To fix this the seat has to be unbolted and tipped back. There are four tiny 6mm bolts that hold the motor plate in. Remove these and the motor will come out. The worm drive is bolted in at one end and has a set pin at the other. Remove the worm drive and use a couple of vice grips or equivalent to loosen the threaded block from the worm drive.

I have the same problem. Seat and steering column just stopped working. Passenger side normal. No fuse for these components. With so many postings witht he same problem there has to be a defective or worn out source. Please post if you find a solution!
