Question about Pontiac Bonneville

1 Answer

I have a 95 bonneville and when driving warning bell will sound and car will cut off. If the engine is turning enough rpm, will pick back up and go on. When I hook up scan tool the only codes I find are pass key related. Keys and cylinder have been replace by former owner.

I would take a look at the throttle position sensor being faulty, but I can't explain why there is the only one fault code. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Have the battery checked for voltage and amperage. A dead cell in a battery will have power but nothing to turn the starter. If its not the battery try replacing the starter.

the problem is probably one of the battery cables. check for looseness and corrosion. especially at the positive battery connection where the two cables are stacked.
