My boot lights in my e46 2003 330Ci are not working properly. I had to hit it a little just to get the light on. however, this may not be the right solution. Can some one help me? No wiring, it is just contact, not really sure how to fix it.

My car is not 2001 but 2003. I was able to fix the lights in the boot of my car. If you want to know how I fixed it, I can offer you my premium assistance plan.

Mike

When starting the engine the coolant light comes on but the coolant level is where it should be. The temperature gauge is working properly. Is there a reset for the light after adding coolant?

as i know of there are no resets for the cooland light most of the time you can take something soft and the container where the antifreeze goes hit it a couple of time just enough to jar it a little and the light will go off if that doesnt work then your sensor inside the container is bad in which case you will have to replace it, One of these suggestions should turn out the light. hope this helped.

When I hit the brakes, the only brake light that works is the one in the spoiler. the bumper lights and high mount are not lit. the tail lights seem to be working although i have one that needs to be...

Both of your rear lights must be out if it was a brake light switch or fuse you would get no lights at all. It also may be a bad turn signal switch causing the right and left lights to not get power.

The "Boot Open" message is displayed o my dash. The trunk lid is closed. The only way to open the trunk is with the key. The Key fob does not work nor do the switches inside the car or in the trunk lid...

Somethings for you to check......

If you open the boot and close the
boot latch (in the middle of the boot lid)with a screwdriver or
something does the boot light go off when you press the little
plunger for the boot light?
If it does not it may be the boot latch. It's also worth checking the
wiring loom on the right of the boot by keeping the boot plunger
pushed in with the boot latch closed as above and squeezing the
wiring loom in various places to see if the light goes off as it
should.it may be a damaged wire in the loom......

Also the plastic trim piece on the rear lower end of the
trunk (boot) is loose, the light comes on. It is held by 4 plastic
pins. When in place properly, no light, when loose, trunk open
light is on, even when trunk is secured.

Good luck

My 2005 Tacoma was hit in the rear and since then not rear lights

You did right so far. Once you have lowered the tailgate and removed the upper and lower 10mm bolts the tail light assembly should be loose and moving a little bit. There are only 2 push-in plastic posts holding it at this point now. Then you have to pull back the assembly firmly, hit on the external side of the assembly with the palm of your hand and it will pop out. DO NOT try to pry with a screwdriver or any other tools.

Disconnect wires connections, replace burned or broken bulbs, make test. If it doesn't work check if the wiring has been affected by the accident.

Hope it will help

How to put top down 1998 BMW Convertible

depends on what type of top you have (full power or power assisted).

if power assisted, then release the latches on the inside where the top meets the windshield, then hit the button on the lower dash (its near the button for the heated seats & traction control) and give it a little push with your hand to start it folding. it has a picture of a side window & top on it. pushing it one way lowers the top. you have to be in park (or drive with foot on brake) to lower it. hold the switch down, the side windows will lower a bit and the top will begin to move. keep holding it till the top tucks under the boot and the windows begin to go back up, then release it. if the light on this button is not flashing when you release it, then the top is tucked away properly. if still flashing, then keep it depressed until the top folding sequence is complete.

if a fully automatic top (you will not have latch releases on the top where it meets the windshield), then simply hit the button as described above. no need to push on the top during the beginning sequence. keep holding it until the windows begin to go back up, then release it.

for both, watch the top as it tucks into the boot. sometimes if the top is not properly aligned, the top cloth may not tuck correctly and may require some help from you. the sequence can be stopped any time, but the red light on this button will flash.

to put it back up, simply hit the button in the opposite manner and the sequence will start with the rear boot lifting up first. fully auto tops will lock automatically to the windshield. power assisted tops will require to lock the top. if red light on this button still flashes when released, then the sequence is not complete or has encountered an error.

hope this worked for you.
