Car working fine now. The timing belt was loose, tensioner not working, fix it and car working fine

  • Ottoniel Aug 02, 2009

It was the timing belt, not the belt for the fan.

Your fan should turn freely when cold and begin to lock up and spin faster when engine gets hot. If fan does not appear to lock up and your elecrtric fan comes on (if equipped) unplug it and continue to watch . If it does not visibly lock, or if when cold the fan has a lot of side play or any other problems, replace it. (after testing make sure you plug any electric fans back in)

Glad to hear that it's OK now...Belt had to be nearly falling off to not turn the fan...Make sure that the battery gets a good re-charge as well!!!

OK, so used to people calling belts by the wrong name I assumed you were doing that... Glad to hear it's OK though!!!

How to replace the clutch fan on a Isuzu rodeo

no year, engine (size) stated.
on all cars its the same,
gain access to it, (shrouds, etc, depands on how big your arms are.)
off the fan belt. (release tension-er.)
off the fan and clutch replace new clutch to old fan/.
put back
set tension on belt.

the FSM steps for fan off are below (buy the FSM and read it?)
guess 1995...
  1. the fan is first then clutch.
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  3. Remove the upper radiator shroud and, if desired for additional clearance, remove the radiator from the vehicle.
  4. Although it is not necessary in most cases, the radiator may be removed from the vehicle for easier access to the fan
  5. retainers. If the radiator is left in place, use extra caution to prevent damage to the fragile radiator fins.
  6. Remove the fan assembly attaching nuts (clutch type) or bolts (standard type), then remove the fan assembly from the engine.
  7. Some vehicles use a space between the fan and the water pump pulley. If used, be sure to retain the spacer for
  8. installation.
  9. If necessary, the clutch may be removed from the fan by removing the attaching nuts or bolts (as applicable).
  10. end remove.

Need to know where is the location of switch to turn on the radiator fan

1995 Isuzu Rodeo is equipped with a belt driven fan with a viscous fan clutch for engine cooling. The electric fan is for A/C condensor cooling only. The condensor fan is switched on and off by the A/C fan relay, which is operated by the triple pressure switch located in the A/C line on the left side of the engine compartment.

attempt to replace the triple pressure switch without first using the proper equipment to evacuate and recover the freon in the A/C system. The A/C system is under high pressure and attempts to replace parts without discharging the system can result in serious injury.

My 1995 isuzu rodeo is overheating, We have already changed out the water pump and the thermostat. What else could it be?

if it overheats quickly, you may have a blown heat gasket - if it overheats slowly, check your fan clutch - if it is worn out the fan won't turn fast enough - also check inside the radiator to see if the passages are clogged - if there is a lot of build up around the openings then you will need to replace the radiator or take it to a radiator shop and have the top removed so they can clean out the passages - also make sure there is nothing obstructing the flow of air through the radiator like leaves or paper that might have blown up from the road - good luck and have a nice day :O)

Where is my tranny more clutch

if you do not have a clutch, you need a new clutch. Adding more gear oil to the manual gear box will not restore a clutch. It is a 94 and anything past 10 years on a transmission is good.
