SOURCE: Backup sensors not working

using a mechanics stethoscope..you can listen to the sensors...listen for the weakest sensor and replace it...the sensors make a faint ticking noise when listened to..the faulty sensor will be noticeably different sounding than others...of course the key need to be in on position and in revers (be careful not to run you self over!)

SOURCE: locating and replacing a camshaft sensor in a 2005 dodge neon

this is a very very simple procedure. you do not need pics. there is a sensor located at the end of the engine on the far side from the belts. at the top. it has a plug with two wires in it. just remove the two 10mm bolts un hook the plug and reverse the process to reinstall. if you have a factory intake you may have to remove it to access this sensor. just the intake tube.

If the check engine light stays on when your engine is running, your onboard computer has detected a fault in your emissions system. You need to have it hooked up to a code detector to find out what the problem is. If you are near an Autozone or Advance auto parts store they will usually do that for free. Here is where your search begins. Most of the time the code for "engine lean" will show up. That means you are getting too much air into the intake manifold. Excess air gets in through vacuum tube leaks, intake gasket leaks, faulty EGR, and PVC valves and sometimes valve stem seals, There are also a variety of other codes that may indicate faulty oxygen sensors, catalytic converter, fuel evaporative system. It is too expensive to just start changing parts and hoping you get it the first. It is important to get the codes that are stored in your onboard computer first.

Where is the fuel tank pressure sensor located in a 2005 Ford five hundred? Also how could you check to see if it needs to be replaced?

Hello. The 'Schrader valve' is, usually, somewhere on the 'fuel rail' of the engine; the assembly the fuel injectors are in. It's like a bicycle tire valve one puts air through. That 'valve' has a colored cap on it and is there to check p.s.i of the 'incoming' fuel AND pressure in the 'fuel rail' itself. Good luck and keep me informed; if you want to.

Can a Mass air flow sensor cause A 2005 Ford Five Hundred to not start?

Yes it can. The mass air flow sensor if your vehicle is equipped, will not tell the ECM the amount of air or temperature of air coming into the engine. Is the check engine light on? if so did you get a DTC for this Component.
