SOURCE: i need the location of anti-theft module on 1999

It is behind the glove box. It is also a programable module so if you are replacing it it has to be programed.

there is no separate anti theft module, it is part of the PCM which is the main computer in the van that runs the engine and emission system as well as the PATS (Passive Anti Theft)

Tell me your problem and perhaps I can give u and answer, I am a Ford Factory Technician.

Buick regal 2000 car wont do nothing. . when i turn key i just shows the sec life

sec life ?????? SECURITY LIGHT ? anti-theft system problem . The Pass-Key IIĀ® Theft Deterrent system prevents vehicle theft by disabling the starter motor and fuel system. If the Body Control Module (BCM) dose not identify the use of the correct ignition key to start the vehicle, the (BCM) will communicate a message to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) which will disable the crank relay and fuel delivery to the engine.
When the (BCM) identifies the use of the correct ignition key (resistor pellet) to start the vehicle, the (BCM) will send a fuel enable and starter enable message to the (PCM) which will allow the vehicle to start.

Does a 95 Buick regal have a chip in the ignition key? Does it need a chip in the key to start?

1995 Regal has a factory "anti theft" type device. The way it works is the ignition key has a resistor built in, if you try to start the car without the correct key (with the resistor), it shuts down ignition and no gas will go to engine.

Try the ignition control module... QDM stands for quad driver module which is apart of ignition control module. This module is located on top of the engine under the coil cover. Where the wires plug-in, this is the module.

We have a 99 regal, and the anti-theft is keeping the car from starting, do you know what we could try to get it working?

You could try disconnecting the neg terminal on the battery for 5 minuets and put it back on.. That will reset everything and hoping to clear the issue.. It could also be a bad ignition switch.. It could also be a bad control module (computer)..

Good luck ;)
