There is no external power supply for that radio. You can get entire replacement radios on EBay

I've got a bad display on my '07 Mountaineer's radio and found one that's very close except for the last letter in the part number. The original is 7L2T-18C868-AC and the display part came from a 7L2T

It will work and the display is interchangeable. The part number digit difference is the manufacturing date code. Best wishes in your repair

I am trying to install a ford factory CD/cassette radio ford part number XL2F-18C868-BB in my 1996 Explorer XL. Everything plugs in fine but there is no sound. I've checked the wire harness and everything...

There is a separate plug for the speakers, if you are replacing a non factory radio then maybe these speaker cables were re-routed to an amp. or something?

I don't have connectors for this radio

Contact Crutchfield. If this is an after-market radio they should be able to supply you with the proper harness. murf427

Yu3f-18c868-ba serial number on a mercury cougar 2000. We need the security code to reset the radio and the instructions.

Call your local Mercury or Ford dealer parts department and they will provide you the security unlock code over the phone. Also try looking in the glove box for the original radio code decal, it might still be in there or look in the owners manual for the stereo code written down in the front or back of the book.

Lost the code for my car radio

Pull the radio out and record the model number and the serial number off the radio chassis, along with your VIN number and the radio numbers go to your local Ford dealer and ask them nicely to look up your theft deterrent code for your radio, most will do it for free.
