Hello rachel...if your grand am is ideling ok, and starts easily...the problem may be low fuel pressure...have the fuel pressure and pressure regulator checked. A diagnostic scan would be helpful also in determining exactly what the engines OBD is reading.
Good luck.. i hope this helps.

Your mass air flow sensor or throttle postion sensor is defective, buy one from a junk yard and try itthat way, I also think you can unhook the mass air flow sensor connecter and it should still run if it does then it's the mass air flow sensor. same thwith the throttle postion sensor unplugh it if it runs you will knowwhat the problem is it goes to base timing if it is unplugged.

Check oil first, Low oil sensor will shut down if more than a quart low. Change fuel filter, could be fuel starvation, change the air filter. stopped up air filter will put MAF sensor out of range. PERFORM OBDII SCAN SOON.

My three wheeler doesn't stay running when it starts. What could be the problem besides the fuel line . just added a fuel filter on it but she still won't start or stay running at times. Co

The damage is already done before you put the fuel filter in. (dirt in Carb)
Remove your carb and dissesemble it and clean everything out and then put back on the machine with FRESH gas and you will be fine...run like a top !
