Question about 2007 Mercedes-Benz ML320 CDI
More than likely you have faulty brake switch thats not allowing the gear shift solenoid to release. This is fairly common on the Benz.
Look for a circular spring loaded cap to the rear of the shifter indicator on the consol and if its there use a ball point pen to push IN and that should release the Park Lock...
This will get you by until you can have repairs made.
Check the Owner's Manual under Practical Advice on how to release the gear lever from PARK for more info.
