I have a 02 kia sportage and it dies on 1st start,nocodes,realwea

I have a 02 kia sportage and it dies on 1st start of the day, runs real rough, stalls,no power,if you pull gear shifter all the way too 1st then it seems to pick up and go but problem recreates when shifting out. no codes current or in history,if you have ever replaced atiming belt on any 4 cyl and got it a tooth off then thats what this is like, plenty of power in park/neutral but a lame duck in any gear.

Code p0038 wont go away and i have replaced the 02 sensors twice on my 2006 kia sportage

Code 038 means the computer is getting a high voltage return in the heater circuit from the O2 sensor mounted after the catalytic converter. The O2 sensors have an internal heater to make them work as soon as you start the engine.
You would need to test the circuit to and from the sensor to find the real problem.

2001 kia sportage wont start

Jumped time. If it runs ruff I would do that too much, you could bend a value.

Fairly common problem, you just need a new timing belt.
