SOURCE: car radio code

Do a google.search and ask.com. it will tell you how to get a code from your radio, then you have to call a number and enter the code and then you get an unlock code. It is a lot of hoops but it is easy. Good Luck.
Or you pay $.8.95 from someone on line to get the code.
Be patient and search and search. Mike

SOURCE: 02 Suzuki Grand Vitara Parking lights. How to change them?

It says to pull the radiator grille forward at each gripped portion from the center to the ends. BE CAREFUL! Too much force and you can snap the grille like a toothpick if your not careful. Looks to be four clips holding down the top and 5 screws securing the bottom of it.

SOURCE: 2002 Grand Vitara engine light

Try these easy things...take off clean and reconnect the battery cables, take to Auto Zone for a FREE computer hook up. More than likely if the battery hook up doesn't work it's the oxygen sensor.

Testimonial: "Many thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately relay seems fine. I think it may be an engine management problem."

I have a Suzuki 2L diesel 2004 Grand Vitara and recently the 4x4 does not disengage even though i have put the lever back down to 2. Eventually after a few hundred metres it disengages back to 2 wheel...

hello and greetings. you did not say what driveline options
were purchase when car was new. so, can not answer.
but if car is PT 4wd, I can. if not get it fixed, by any 4wd shop.

the car is full time 4wd or AWD ?
PT:
the Part time 4wd must not be driving on dry pavement.
so drive to dirt or grass or ice and then shift back to 2wd

there is a TSB from Suzuki on wind up.

exceptions?
sure , the 2004 options statement here. and the rules for PT 4wd.
http://www.fixkick.com/part-time-test.html

Suzuki Grand Vitara/Escudo -full-time 4WD using limited-slip center differential, off-road 4WD with selectable center differential lock and low range transfer case 4 mode (4h, 4h lock, 4l n), traction control and electronic stability control
Suzuki offered as an option AWD for Grand Vitara's in 2004 (XL7 too) Some Suzuki AWD you can not use lock on dry pavement, so read the operators guide carefully.

suzuki sells the operators guide if lost,
$4 day pass
$25 for full pdf.

Check 4wd light on

just found this worked a trick..mine stuck for two weeks in 2wd

A mere 2,400km into the life of my 07 Rodeo TD 4WD, I used 4L for about 2km of medium-steep/slippery track. After stopping and selecting 2WD the 'Check 4WD' light appeared, meaning I was stuck in 2WD for the rest of that trip. Luckily I was able to complete the trip in 2WD without incident.

The dealer blamed me for 'not following the instructions in the manual' (utter codswallop), 'fixed' it, and very reluctantly gave me a scribbled set of instructions on resetting the system, which I've included below.

When I suggested that these instructions should be included in the manual, the response was 'not necessary if owners use the system correctly'. More cods.

Here's how to reset it:

1. Ignition off, hold all 3 buttons (2H, 4H & 4L) in together

2. Switch ignition on to 'reds' position (last position before start)

3. Hold in this state for 30 seconds

Hope this may be of use !!

4WD not working properly

this is most commonly caused by the motor on the transfer case that engages the 4X4 either sticking or defective, sticking can be caused by dirty fluid, have u ever serviced the fluid in the transfer case, it should be done around 30,000 miles if u use the 4X4 allot.
