I am assuming the question is related to the turbo hoses on Freelander Td4? They are prone to splitting and can be easily replaced. If you have a manifold leak, just replace both the short right angled hose and the longer straight one. Sometimes you can't immediately find the split, but feel all around and you will find it. Just undo the hose clips and they slide on with a bit of persuasion! I hope I have interpreted your question correctly.

I have a 2004 Dodge Ram 5.7 Hemi engine V8 I have a extreme vacuum leak and I do not have PCV valve when you take the oil cap off air is being sucked into the engine there is a major problem. Need fix

put a pcv valve in the inlet manifold hose to the carby or from the crankcase to the inlet manifold
what you have is a direction connection between the sump and the inlet

Code p1472

could be a number of things; cam shaft position sensor, fuel pump, O2 sensors, even VSS (vehicle speed sensor). The code you mention states:

P1471 Land Rover Variable inlet manifold motor 1.Short circuit to V Batt. (vehicle battery?).

P1472 Land Rover Variable inlet manifold motor 2.Short circuit to V Batt.

I suspect it could be an electrical short with one of the sensors. Someone suggested you have your fuel pressure checked.

After removing the engine cover and disconnecting the battery ,disconnect the air pipes that run across the manifold , these are normally brittle so handle them gently , remove them by pushing the clip at the base of the pipe down while pulling the pipe out.Do this with the fuel pipes too .The inlet manifold is held on by 4 bolts found next to the inlet pipes. There is also a bracket behind the manifold held on by two philips screws. When you refit the new manifold , apply some rubber grease on the o-rings as not to pinch them.Get you radio code before you disconnect the battery.
