I NEED TO KNOW WHERE THE EXPANSION VALVE IS LOCATED ON A 2000 TOYOTA COROLLA

It is an orifice type inside hose fitting (High side) at the accumulator can. A Freeze And Explosion (High Pressure) hazard exist. Wear gloves and Safety glasses. Freon must be recovered before opening any lines. Note the valve is directional (arrow) when you remove it. Do not install backwards.

Have you checked to se if there is freon in the system? If there is no freon, the compressor will NOT run.

1987 toyota corolla freon

Well, It takes R-12 freon. Sadly, they don't sell it in the US anymore.
You'll have to call around A/C shop to see if can retrofit you A/C unit to use the R-134A.
