You need to do a window reset. Its in your owners manual

This is a quote from the workshop manual

Note
? A driver side window will not fully close automatically under following the conditions:
? The battery has been disconnected during vehicle maintenance or for other reasons.
? The power window main switch connector, or driver-side power window motor connector has been
disconnected.
? Carry out the following procedure to resume operation:
1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
2. Press the driver side power window main switch and fully open the driver side window.
3. Pull up the driver side power window main switch to manual-up position to fully close the driver side window,
and keep holding the switch up at the position for about 2 seconds to complete initial setting.

TWO-STEP DOWN FUNCTION OPERATIVE/NON-OPERATIVE SWITCHING PROCEDURE

Note
? By following the procedure below, the two-step down function is switched to non-operative when it is
operative, and to operative when it is non-operative.

Turn the Ignition on
Within 5 sec
perform the auto open two times
perform the auto close two times

disconnecting the battery some times corrupts the CPU program and seldom achieves much . Use a code reader to reset the CPU and the alarm

Where do I start...first the dashboard lights died (driver's panel, also the backlights on the radio display and shift stick). I can still see, however, on the dash behind the steering wheel which gear I...

Power Distribution Center(PDC) located under hood in upper drivers corner. Check all relays and fuses. And check the voltage on the battery, kinda seems like it is dicipating slowly. An engine requires 10 volts to the starter to deliver 10 volts to the crank shaft, Your hearing noises coming from the fuse box check those fuses replace every one needs replacing. At the PDC you will find a light fuse for interior lights for dash board, thers no fus for gauges just lights. When you are playing with fuses and wires be sure to disconect negative to battery, thers always the possibility to short something out, you could temporarely pull fuses to items you dont use, this will help process of elimination, try to recharge the battery, and without having a ohmeter, or voltmeter, to check voltages to every wire, so a way to elliminate, is pull a fuse and try to start the car, if that fuse did nothing put the fuse back and try another, and maybe a power surge is kiling off fuses,... you have a big electrical problem, you will need to figure that out first before you can get the care to start. Turn the key one or two clicks, If check engine light comes on, thats cool that means your car has a message, it will tell you what is going on. An OBD2 computer code scanner, AutoZone will do for free.

I have a 2005 explorer and I disconected the pos. battery cable and when I reconected it the abs light is now on

Dont ever remove the positive cable,,unless you remove the negative cable first..When you go back..Put the positive on then put the negative on..You probably spiked the ABS fuse..Try checking the fuses first..
