I have an A3 2000 1.8t and the throttle body sensor is (I Think) almost under the screen wash bottle. Its kinda in between the light and the washer bottle. Its black and T shaped.

run the fault codes as the problem may be in the accelerator position sensor or the throttle position motor if there is a problem in the transmissions the fault codes will reveal the faulty sensors/ servos and solenoids

Audi a6 cut out it turns over but wont start

It sounds like the throttle body position sensor has gone out on you. If you look at the throttle body you will see a small sensor off to one side that has an electrical connector. Ensure it is plugged in. If it is then you may want to replace it. It is quite a simple repair.

Audi a6 1998 jerking gears

Take out your MAF sensor, positioned on main air intake pipe to throttle and clean it with Carberetor Cleaning spray and away you go. this is the first thing to check and normally very common.

Ive got a problem with gear box kickdown, diagnosis machine say its throttle position sensor and oxgen sensors.can it be true

yes TPS is an important sensor that determines shift speeds, times and delays, holds etc.oxygen sensor is important but less important for this role of transmission shifting.its failure can be for a variety of reasons, preheat element fault, sensor dirty, not going into loop, slow working etc.I would concentrate on tps first as it is purely a signal of where the throttle position is in relation to vehicle speed and load etc.check plug to it(it is located on the side of throttle butterfly, the cable to actuate on one side and this on the other side of pivot.Hope this helps

I have an Audi A4 1997 automatic Just bought done 160,000km's. It's transmission is playing up - delays between changing of gears and does not change at the right time, often revs really high and for too...

You need to have a diagnostic run.It may not be a transmission problem , could be a bad speed sensor or throttle position sensor. A good diagnostic would be money well spent, you dont want to start swapping parts on this car.
