2005 Nissan pathfinder location of output speed shaft sensor

Does your versa have automatic transmission or CVT transaxle Makes a difference

Take it straight back and get a refund, or tell them to replace it. The transfer case should be full of oil.

it is the turbine speed sensor(TSS) and senses the torque converter out put shaft speed
It will be shown in the workshop manual or any accredited transmission specialist shop will show you where it is

they are all mounted on tranny but look closly also is the speed sensor , speed sensor is toward rear of tranny ,neutral switch is forward

if the speed range between the two are different then along with the instrument cluster you will have to change the VSS "vehicle speed sensor" in the transmission as it will read incorrectly if you do not.

You need to replace the speed sensor. It is on the transmission, and you can get the part from Nissan. If you are not mechanically enclined, then you may want to have them do it for you.

Hyundai VSS locations:
On 1999-2003 vehicles, the vehicle speed sensor is built into the speedometer. On 2004-2005 vehicles, the vehicle speed sensor is attached to the output shaft of the transaxle.

On 1996-2003 vehicles, the vehicle speed sensor is built into the speedometer. On 2004-2005 vehicles, the vehicle speed sensor is attached to the output shaft of the transaxle.

Should be located on the drivers side close to the out put shaft, (where the drive shaft is) Held on by one bolt and you'll see the wire harness to it, check the harness. It may have gone loose or the wires may have gone bad.

check the speed sensor either at the transmission or on the front wheel axle. You have to remove the front wheel , rotor until you get down to the shaft. The speed sensor is right there on the passenger side of your car.
