Question about 2000 Hyundai Elantra

Hyundai lantra 1.6l v reg will start and drive but after driving for period maybe 5-10 miles car will cut out and not start again until left standing for 15-30 minutes engine will turn over but wont fire up.thank u

plz have a check on the battery.

n then check ur coolent is working normaly or not,

n also the condition of ur engine oil, it might have exceeded the rating run.


n also check the spark pulg's whether they have worn out or not !!

I looking for the location of the crank sensor hyundai acccent 2002 1,6L


The crank sensor on this 2000 hyundai accent is located on the leftside of engine near the rear exhaust manifold.this is if your standing on the driverside looking at the engine your left is the side the front is on, hope this helps, heres a picture to help you.abcbb01.gif

Runs and drive for 1 mile then dies


hi same deal as the other guy but yours is slightly differant your computer will shut down when the voltage dropes below 7 volts or above 14 if the battery is going flat it will recover when left for a while if it has plenty of charge it maybe overcharging and again it will shut downget the voltage reg/charge rate checked first
