Reset esc on patriot

you cant.
if they set, the auto clear if they stop failing
RTM did you read the opearators guide, yet> it say that.

first off, get the brakes fixed.
both those systems, require, good brakes.

lets say one pad is bad.
so the ABS can not control this wheel.
so since ESC uses ABS then it too fails. so forget ESC, that is last.
the FSM covers the scan tests.
scan it.
did you even scan it? if not , maybe there is a DTC error
that needs to be addresses.
like ABS sensor RF is dead, or reading wrong or my gosh,
the pad there is toasted.
or grease on the rotor?

not doing a full brake inspection now, misses the boat

Check front brake pads for wear and possible replacement. If never changed originals, there is a high likelihood they are worn out.

Sounds like over active ABS. is it possible that one of the bearings you installed is defective? Where the axle nuts tightened to the proper spec. Have you checked for play on the new front bearings? Otherwise you will need a high end scan tool to monitor wheel speed data from the abs module. It will be fairly easy to see what speed sensor is dropping out and causing the aver active abs to occurs.

Master cylinder and/or brake booster could be the problem. A tiny bit of air in the system will effect your braking abilty. A fault in the ABS system would prompt the computer to trigger the ABS light. If you have brake shoes on the rear, make sure they are properly adjusted. Hope this helps.

The vehicle being worked on was jacked up and supported by sturdy jack - stands. All four wheels were removed to access disc brake assemblies. Tools utilized (1) C clamp for the front caliber to press piston back in it bore and (2) a special tool for the rear to return caliber back in it bore. Replaced pads and all pertinent hardware, torque all fasteners to specification and wheel assemblies. Road tested vehicle and checked for noise and rattles. So thanks for the tip that was given and I wish you and your staff a nice sunday.

Abs light on

if you know the code for the radio... unhook the battery for about ten minutes to reset the abs warning.... if it comes back on after that there may be another issue.... but make sure you have the code for the radio or it will become unusable.
