i think it could last, factory says every 105,000 miles even though the
car is 11 years old it hasn't been driven for all those years, remember
on average you put 10-15,000 miles on a car yearly, so your car is
missing like 85,000 miles on it which is like the car wasnt being
driven for 8 of those years
Code 42 is the (asd) automatic shutdown driver, there is an open or a short in the relay circuit, and I don't have my manual to tell you where to look, have it checked.
Code 11 is no distributor signal during engine cranking.
Code 12 is battery power to computor disconnected in last 50 to a 100 cycles; memory standby power lost.
Code 55 is end of code output. These are what my code manual is showing. That shutdown driver should be checked. Hope this helps.
A Car need 3 things to run, Air , Fuel and Spark. Start troubleshooting by checking for spark, if no spark prob the coil packs or ICM. Iff you have spark then move to the fuel, remove the cap from the tank and have somebody listen where you fill it up for the buzz of the pumps initial prime. you can also break one of the fuel lines loose and check for fuel volume and to ensure it is pumping. if it is not pumping check all relays and fuses and check to ensure you are getting power to the pump before you replace it.
it would be a good idea to do a turn-up first before you fire it up. Since it has being setting for 9 years. make sure you put couple of drops of oil in each cyclender
Since you already had it runing and die suddenly, you need to check the timming belt, or replace it. if the car has more than 80,000 miles on it.
Sounds like a fuel problem, Bad fuel pump relay of actual fuel pump check relay first may be working intermittently.( Replace relay first before going to pump). Good luck thanks for using FIX YA
