Question about Chevrolet Blazer

1 Answer

(K5 auto 4X4 H&L),fuel injected, but she acts like she has a carb. .The idle fluxuates, she can (slowly) pull herself up a incline without touching the acceleratorny ideas.I've tried a top of the line fuel inj cleaner,I don't think that it is a fuel filter. The air intake filter is new. The guy who gave it to me, said that he had just put in new plugs. I know that it has a self adjusting timing belt. Any ideas? I've never owned an auto 4X4, actually it is the first automatic I've had in 20+yrs. Also the compressor doesn't work for the A/C, is there any other fures aside from the 2 20s that also says heater?

There is an idle solenoid & they can cause fluctuations!
all autos CREEP a little
if heater & fan are ok it might be the electric clutch on the compressure not actuating

Why my 97' f-250 7.3 powerr stroke keeps dieing while idling

The power stroke engine has several things that will cause this problem #1 crank shaft sensor AKA cam shaft sensor on crank shaft located on passenger side of engine near crank shaft pulley # 2 IPC sensor Injection pressure control if has oil in sensor replace it & wiring pigtail .#3 high pressure oil pump not up to par. #4 injection pressure regulator solenoid they get sticky. with a good scanner that has FORD enhanced software you can check all of these without leaving the drivers seat and perform running tests on injectors and test the ficm module interface with the pcm. Fuel Injection Control Module & Power Control Module.

Idles at 2500 RPM changed idle sensor in carb still does it

vacuum leak, idle set incorrectly, carb float stuck. Just curious, who put a carb on a fuel injected motor? im sure thats alot of problems waiting to happen just in itself. You can't use the electric pump for fuel injection on a carb either, way too much pressure, it will bypass the float and just pour gas out into the manifold.

Dies at stop sign won't idle at times rpm is around 600 when it will idle

600rpm is a little low, check the fuel filter, if the auto is not fuel injected a slight adjustment at the carb is possible. There are so many things involved with ideal speed, you might need to take it to a mechanic.

How to adjust air fuel on 1983 k5 blazer 350 4 barrel auto trans 4x4

there are two little spring loaded adjusters on the side of the carb, however if its way out due to elevation you will need to re-jet the carb. you need to be carefull, if you set it to rich or to lean you could damage your engine, if you are unsure i suggest taking it to a shop to play it safe.

Sounds like you have a vacuum leak somewhere. There may be a stop adjustment on the throttle body, but usually high idles are due to unmetered air entering the system.

Idle s 2300rpm when cold, then revs between 1500-2000, while..

maybe vacuum leak or intake manifold leak. sounds like components are doing there job adjusting to air intake, matching the amount of air brought in with the amount of fuel that it would demand to produce correct emmission quality. check this out. you can use carb cleaner to spray around your throttlebody and intake manifold and if the engine idle fluxuates you have a leak.

Truck idles and runs fine when slowly accelerating. when power is needed for merging motor (350) has stalling problem (doesn't kill though). New fuel pump and filter installed.

if it's a fuel injected the it's your fuel reglater that's going bad...but if it's a carb. chevy then the flote's need to be reajusted to the right setting...hope this helps and good luck..
