I have a honda accord EX 2006 w/out Nav. I was listening to my cd player when all of a sudden I got Mecha Error message on the display screen. I couldn't eject my cds or anything. The next day I had to get my battery replaced and now it doesn't even recognize that I have a cd player, my radio, xm, climate controls work. But my cd player doesn't. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If the laser head hit the label on the disk, it may be scratched or knocked out of position. You may be able to remove it and check for physical damage but it would probably be better to send the player in for service..
Turn van off. Open & close drivers door, wait for everything to power down. Turn van back on and push button to close CD/Nav opening. It will close. Having an issue with CD player also.
