Check your hepa filter(location for this is in your owners manual)_ I suspect you have mice,they love to nest in such areas and leave decomposing veggie matter that they used as nesting....

Keep the vent closed,recirculate.

I had a similar problem with two different cars. Mice had somehow got into the heater ducting and built nests. This will plug up the ducting, or if nest is next to the heater fan, it can keep fan blades or the squirrel cage fan from turning. If that is the problem, you'll need to take some of the ducting apart and clear the obstruction. Good luck.

Check for pieces of straw, paper etc in the MAF sensor. The mouse nest may have flown apart and bits are residing on thew sensor....

Try putting some dryer sheets on the floorboard of the truck. The mice don't like the smell, they will leave.

You should be able to remove just the fan blower from under the passenger side dash and clean out the housing and the blower wheel

remove the blower motor to get at he nest, that is where they nest.
