Remove 4 bolts on each valve cover, clean off all of old gasket from cylinder heads and valve covers and replace with new well oiled gaskets. The oil will help the seal.
remove the valve cover by undoing screws/bolts around the edge may have to gently prize the cover away from its seating with a flat screwdriver clean off old gasket material fit new gasket to the covet the refit the cover
To replace the valve cover gasket, you have to: 1) Remove spark plug wires 2) Remove spark plugs 3) Remove ground cable, and all pcv lines and hoses 4) remove 4,10mm nuts holding the valve cover on 5) remove valvecover, and replace old gasket
i'm guessing that your car is a 4-cylinder. this is common for inline 4-cylinder engines. since the spark plug holes usually go through the valve cover, the valve cover gasket will leak and collect in the spark plug holes. to fix this you will have to replace the valve cover gasket.
On or in .. if its burning oil you may have bad piston rings or valve seals if its down in the wells where the plugs are located most likely you have a bad valve cover gasket
