Won't start. replaced battery checked starter out of car at shop, ok. Then replaced connections. started a couple of days, now it won't start at all. a couple of clicks

You have a short in the vehicle somewhere that is draining the battery. If you have power seats they are a likely culprite. What you can do if your not experienced at tracing shorts is pull a couple fuses for some of the accessories and charge the battery. If it holds a charge start putting fuses back in until you find the one that kills the battery.

1993 form tempo will start great most of the time, intermittenly it will refuse to "hit a lick" and will not start, battery turnover is not the problem, crankin is great... it just refuses to...

i just had a similar problem with my sisters saturn.. it ended up being the crank sensor that intermiditly stop working and so the coils wouldent fire...it took a min to figure out cause it wouldent store a code for this problem..i think checking into that crank sensor may find the culprate

My 1993 Ford Tempo (automobile) will not start when I turn the key. A clicking sound comes from the driver's side of the engine compartment. The pre-start charge begins, but then nothing.

Sounds like a battery problem. Get a jump and if the vehicle starts replace your battery. If the vehicle won't start using a jump have the starter solenoid checked.

1993 Ford Tempo won't start

I know this sounds stupid, tap the fender soliniod with a small hammer when someone is trying to crank the engine, it will start. The clicking is a jam in the solinoid, one tap and it should release. I told a few people this on here and they didn't beleive me, but all have sent me mails thanking me. Good luck bud,
Regards, Dave, Let me know

93 tempo

I had the same problem a few months back with my 93 Tempo. After fiddling with the battery, checking for spark, and messing with my distributor cap, I found the emergency fuel shut off reset button in the trunk. If you haven't already, open the trunk, and on the left hand side there is a recess with a largish red button. Press it. If it clicks, then your fuel injector shut off because it though it had been in an accident (mine happened right after pulling into my driveway, where I had bottomed out a little bit, so it doesn't take much to set it off). If it clicks, your car should start immediately
Hope it helps!
