My 96 monte carlo climate omly blows on flor and defrost and not through the vents

There is a broken plastic vacuum hose which is goes to the blend door this will be under the hood by the throttle body.With out this vacuum the blend door for the vents will not work.

check the actuator motor and make sure it is moving the doors between the heater and the ac. it is in the center of the heater inside the car and is a small motor attached to the heater housing.

Problem is in the vaccum feed pipe (Cracked) or the actual control panel.

The air only blows out from the floor in my monte carlo. What do i have to do to get the other dash fans to work


It may be an intake leak. Oil maybe leaking into the radiator. You need to replace the intake gasket.

Vent problem


Common, yes. Charactoristic of GM's yes. You need a set of intake manifold gaskets.

No air blowing from vents


Probably a blend door problem. This is the door that opens and closes when you turn the blower on. I'm assuming that you can hear the blower motor running, if not then it's the blower motor that needs changing.
