SRS light is for your air bags, worry not. shaking is a bad part in your front end suspension or badly balanced tire.

Sante fe shakes violently accelerating 65 to 75 no light on

Check the constant velocity ball joints. They are usually hidden under a rubber boot. They split, dirt gets in and the bearings were away. The play will cause vibration and is typical to do it on curves. You can stop in a car park and with the windows wound down and radio off, turn the tightest circle you can at low speed. Listen for a clunking noise. Then turn on the opposite lock.

1995 Lumina Van runs good and then wheels shake and doesn't accellerate good.

A shop didnt find anything? You have a suspension problem Lets start at the tires is there any mud or crude that affect the balance of your tire? What about wheel bearing is there side to side movement even with the rear,How about the upper ball joint and lower ball joint . a warp drive axle can cause this . If you are certain of there inspection with the suspension the problem is the torque convertor. If that stays lock up whoa you will be shaking like big time

The srs light stays on longer

as long as the supplementary restraint system (airbags) light goes out,you do not have a problem.if it takes longer than it did it is because the computer is getting old.(taking its time checking out all the other tasks it has to do)

What is the SRS light? I have 1996 honda accord

the SRS stands for Supplemental Restraint System. Most people call it the air bags but the SRS system includes all of the sensors and control units for air bags, seat belt pre-tensioners and passenger detection systems on cars that are equiped with them

each time you start the car up the SRS control unit will do a self-test of the system to make sure all of the sensors are working properly. The SRS light will stay on while that test is conducted. If all is well and everything passes the on-board test the light will go out in about 7 seconds. If something is wrong the light will stay on.

whenever a failure is detected for any reason, the SRS light is turned on and the system is shut off. The air bags will not be deployed when the SRS light is on.

They call it a Supplemental Restraint System because your seat belts are your primary restraint system.

hope that answers your question

I have a 98 chevy truck it has over 230k on it and it starts shaking around 65 to 70mph and loose power i have to let off the throttle till is slowes down to about 55 or 60 then it will run fine when stay...

Your tires could have gone bad, "belt separation" and the tires no longer hold there shape after 65 miles per hour. You wheels may have lost the balance weight, there may be worn out steering, suspension parts like bushings, idler arms, Pittman arms and bad shocks. All of these parts that may have worn parts will create the shaking you describe. If you have grease gun, try greasing all the grease fittings. This will take up all the play in the worn parts and if the shacking lessens, then it's a good chance that the parts greased are worn and needs to be replaced. Good luck and keep me posted, be glad to help you get your truck running smooth once again.

To me that sounds like more of a tire problem than anything, Have there been any traffic emergecys lately maybe locked up brakes or something, i would take it to a tire shop and have them balance and align my tires.
