Your window is moved by a cable driven regulator that raps around your window motor when the cable brakes the motor still turns. This is a all in one unit motor and regulator.About $110 for the part at your local parts store So replace this unit and this will fix your problem :)

You need a new door window motor. If the window is stuck down some you can maybe pull the glass up as you cycle the switch and then get it repaired.

2001 Aztek windows buzz

Sounds like your drivers side window regulator motor gear is bad as far as the other windows drivers door switch is most likely bad if you dont have experience working on electrical or have never taken apart a door panel I would recommend seeing a mechanic. To check the switch you have to disassemble passenger door panel accesa the window regulator motor disconnect the weatherpack connect hook up multimeter and test for power while having an assistant push the window switch down

1994 ford explorer passenger window will not go up but will go down from the passenger side but nothing from the driver side

Do you hear the motor run when you push the button? If so spray WD-40 with the red applicator tip in between the window and the rubber weatherstrip from the left side working over to the right side to free it if its rusted, jammed.Or the window is off the track and the panel needs to be removed or if no sound check the switches for corrosion or breaks then check wires to the motor and put a test light on them.

Passenger side front window does not work.

Yea your right on that one, but to be sure test the regulator connector with a test light to be sure their is power getting to the motor. to remove the panel their will be a few screws around the panel and some snap clips on the back side of it, disconnect any connectors and be careful with the plastic clip for the door handle.

2005 Chrysler T&C passenger side window went down and won't come up. All other automatic windows and door locks work fine - don't hear any motor sound / buzz / etc. when either driver side or passenger...

If the window had not been slow in it's action before it stopped working I'm guessing you only have a connection problem. I would remove the door panel and using a multimeter check the hot wire to see if power is reaching the switch. If it is check the connection on the motor. If power is reaching the motor through the switch you have a faulty motor. If at any point of testing there is no power backtrack the power wire to find where the break is. (it's usually in the door jam)

The drivers side window auto up/down quit

1. Start the car and leave it idle.
2. Hold the window button down all the way, until the window is completely down.
3. Let go and push it down again and hold the window button for 2 to 3 seconds then let go. (You should be able to hear or feel (very faintly) the motor/sensor reset.)
4. Pull up on the window button and roll the window up until it is all the way up, when it is up let go.
5. Pull the button up again for 2 to 3 seconds. (You should be able to hear or feel (very faintly) the motor/sensor reset.)

The passenger side window does not work. Is this

vice grip? you're lucky you didn't shatter the window.

So only the passenger front window is out based on what you're describing. Or are you trying to say all the passenger windows are out? (you have three passenger windows)

I am going with just the front passenger being out and that neither the switch on the driver's door or the switch on the front passenger door work to control the window. It's rare that both switches would die at the same time, so that rules that out. Now you said you pushed the button and the window does not move, if you don't hear a sound at all, odds are the motor is toast, if you do hear a sound, then the regulator may be stripped or broken.

On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Pull back the weather seal and you'll be able to remove the motor which will be secured down by a few bolts

94 T-Bird - Passenger side window

can you see the window assembly.. you should be able to see the gears for the window crank as it sounds like the gears are stripping... You should be able to get to the bolts that are holding the window assembly to the door.

Passenger side window won't go back up on 2002 volvo S40

try activating it from the passenger side door switch. (working with the idea it is a switch problem).
then try listening real close when you try to roll it up... if you hear the motor running , it is the tape that is the regulator.
