I have a smell of hot coolant in the engine compartment and in the saloon

im not sure what a sign of leak is, as the coolant is pressurized, to allow it to remain liquid at temps over the boiling point,. so, a pin sized leak would emit straight vapor, and, if the coolant wasnt hot, the hole is too small for a liquid drip to form

Headlight relay

Inmost vehicle the head light relay is either in the engine compartment fuse bus or under the dash on the drivers side of the vehicle. If you are in a country that drives on the left side of the road not sure if they switch the location of the fuse bus under the dashboard. But usually the headlight relay is found in the engine compartment fuse bus.

Leaking water after stopping

Liquids in an auto..... Antifreeze (greenish/clear, watery, with slight oil feel to it, smells somewhat sweet), Power Steering Fluid (very thin oil, usually red tinted), Brake Fluid (very thin oil, clear), Transmission Fluid (very thin, red and kinda of sweet smelling), Motor Oil (amber colored or black, medium viscosity, usually smells acidic), Washer Fluid (usually water). Only other fluid is condensation that drains from the air conditioning drain pan after driving the car and the air conditioner has been on.

It can only be one of the above, really need a lot more information, to even begin to make a guess.

My 2006 HHR has check engine light constantly on and now has liquid dripping from the right underside of the dashboard. Is this related or seperate issues? Also, the inside door handle just broke off in...

does the liquid have color if perfectly clear its condensate from AC evaporator, the drain may be blocked and need clearing. A red/orange color indicates the heater core or lines to it are leaking Dex-cool. As for the CEL have a auto parts store, O'reilys, AutoZone scan for codes and get back to me. The door handle will take some surgery especially on getting the interior panel off, hidden screws, wire connectors. Find a reference sheet for that

I have a clear liquid dripping from my ford f350

Where do you think it is coming from ? Engine compartment ?

If there has not been any rain, I would guess the a/c drain.

RPM is too high when i start, then goes down when on Drive. What could be the cause? Throttle Body? (landrover discovery 98)

RPM meter regulator springs may be loose on the inside of the dashboard. So long as there is no mechanical failures either usual engine capacity, no obervable capacity malfunctions, the dashboard screws are probably loose due to rigorous terrains encounters. Depending on the type of dashboard, the particular loose spring may be replaceable. Else, an entire dashboard area containing the display meter readings would require replacement due to compartibility parts requirements.

How do i install a block heater into a 2000 Celica GTS? Can you provide any pictures and/or useful links?

The heater core and evaporator are in a box together underneath the center of the dashboard against the firewall. My service manual seems to indicate that they both must come out at the same time to access either. Presuming this is correct, here we go.
Disconnect battery and wait half hour to disable SRS
Evacuate AC
Drain coolant. (It is not necessary to drain it completely.)
Disconnect AC liquid tube and suction hose. (Engine compartment firewall.)
Remove instrument panel and reinforcement.
Dicsonnect heater hoses. (Engine compartment firewall.)
q=tbn:hFn1BMnyjvA3XM:: Remove heater core and evaporator from box.
Assembly is the reverse. Fill heater core and hoses with coolant to eliminate as much air as possible before installation.

Water dripping right front underneath

Is what the liquid plain water or coolant (water mixed with antifreeze). touch and smell the liquid, no smell = water, antifreeze smell and oily feel = coolant.
If plain water, could be Air Condition condensation dripping from condensation drain which is normal. (this drain is usually located near the center of the vehicle).
If coolant, could be leak(s) from: radiator, radiator hose, heater hose, water pump, engine freeze plug. A coolant system pressure test should show what is leaking.
