Locate pcv on 2008 escape 6cylinder

The PCV valve is installed into the rocker cover using a quarter-turn cam-lock design to prevent accidental disconnection. High retention force molded plastic lines are used from the PCV valve to the intake manifold. The diameter of the lines and the intake manifold entry fitting are increased so that inadvertent disconnection of the lines after a vehicle is repaired causes either an immediate engine stall or does not allow the engine to be restarted. In the event that the vehicle does not stall if the line between the intake manifold and PCV valve is inadvertently disconnected, the vehicle has a large vacuum leak that causes the vehicle to run lean at idle.

check the pcv valve as they will gum up if the oil has not been changed regularly. I would also check all vacuum hoses for cracks or breaks

Where is my pvc on my 02 truck

Drivers side valve cover all the way in the back by the firewall. Usually the pcv tube has foam around it and makes the pcv valve a little obscure.

Where is the pvc valve on a 2.7 V6 Kia Optima

Pretty much all PCV Valves are on a valve cover

They regulate the amount of air evacuated from the crankcase,
& have to block off vacuum at times & prevent oil from getting into
intake, thus on a valve cover near oil

They NEVER NEED TO BE REPLACED
never have in 50 years
They can be sprayed clean, if you like, with brakleen etc

AGAIN -- a PCV unless it's vacuum hose leaks HAS NOTHING
WHAT SO EVER TO DO WITH HOW YOUR VEHILCE RUNS

Trying to replace PCV valve on 4.6 L 2001 Crown Vic. Believe it is located on valve cover on driver side, but not positive. I tied to pull it out to replace and it was so stuck I was afraid to use pliers...

PCV valves are usualy in the valve cover like you say. they only need to be changed if they quit working. If you pull it out of the gromet it is pushed into, just shake it. If the check valve inside makes noise then the valve is good. In 35+ yrs of working on cars I haven't seen a PCV valve fail. Here is a picture of it so you know what your looking at:
