The front window on the driver side will not raise when the power button is pushed after it went all the way down. All other windows raise and lower when buttons are pushed. Nothing happens when I push the raise button.
Is there a separate motor/switch for each window. How hard is it to get to the window/motor/switch, etc.(remove the panel). Could it just be off track ?The front window on the driver side will not raise when the power button is pushed after it went all the way down. Re: It will not go up when the power switch is pushed....
All are seperate. You most likely need a regulator with a motor. The switch is not in the door. If you here something when pressing the switch then it is working. It is the rest that is not.

Have someone push button at the same time pull top of window up. Or rake door panel off and reach inside door and push bottom of window up while pushing button
It's the motor. If the motor turns at all, the switch is good. Make sure the glass is not binding in the track. If it works with a little help, replace the motor.
I have a 1990 Mustang with power windows. When i first got the car the windows rolled up and down fine, then the passenger one started going up slower than the driver one. When i needed to fix my power locks i had them change the window motor in the passenger side. Now the passenger window rolls up faster than the driver one. The problem is the window motors.......and about the motors still running: the switches probably need to be replaced as well. I can almost guarantee this will solve your problem:)
IF THE MOTOR IS STILL FINE A ON TRACK IT HAS TO BE ELEC. SO PUSH THE UP SWITCH VERY FAST ALOT OF TIMES TO SEE IF IT GETS A CONNECTION. IF SOAND IT MOVES ITS THE SWITCH IF NOT YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE TO GET TO THE MOTOR PULL PLUG OFF PUSH SWITCH AND SEE IF IT IS GETTING ELEC THERE
one of three things. 1: the switch may be worn. 2: the motor (#9) may be shot. 3: the regulator (#8) may be jambed.
The easiest is to first test the switch, most likely it's good (being the passenger side). The door will have to be take apart to test the motor and check the regulator. also check the door glass has not come off the tracks (#4,#5) and check window tabs (#2) sometimes they break.
hope this helps
I would try to lubtcate the rubber tracks that the window slides up and down in. Sometimes, dirt gets into the tracks, and the dirt acts like brakes. Get some 100% SILICONE SPRAY, and spray the rubber slides real good. See if that helps.
Hi there,
Try replacing the button that you push up and down. It could be bad under it and not making the connection. Maybe take the panel off and take the switch off, then clean the connecters under the button. Maybe that will do it. Also, you probably already ckeched this, but is the window off track? Well, good luck and let me know. Have a great night.~MWD
Hi there,
Very simple. Only one of a few things. First off. Push the up and down switch, listen, if there is a humming sound, your actuator may be fine. You window may be off track. If it is not off track, and there is a humming sound, then it may be the master switch. They are not that expensive. If it is not the master switch, the only other two things it could be is the up/down button or the connectors under the button. I hope that helped you out. Good luck and let me know. Have a great day.~MWD

How do I get to the motor to find out ?
