Question about Ford Taurus
YOU ARE LOSING HYDRAULIC CONTROL PRESSURE, THIS IS MOST LIKELY FROM A LEAKING INTERNAL SEAL IN THE TRANS, TAKING IT OUT OF GEAR ALLOWS THE PRESSURE TO BUILD BACK UP, I WORKED ON FORDS AT A DEALER FOR 25 YEARS AND SAW THIS VERY PROBLEM ON DOZENS OF CARS LIKE YOURS, IT ALWAYS REQUIRED AN OVERHAUL TO CORRECT, PULLING THE TRANS TO JUST REPLACE ONE FAILED HYDRAULIC SEAL IS FOOLISH, THE TRANS HAS TO COME APART SO MIGHT AS WELL GO COMPLETELY THROUGH IT, AT AROUND 100,000 THIS PARTICULAR TRANS IS PRETTY MUCH DONE, FRONT WHEEL DRIVE TRANS ARE VERY COMPACT SO THEY CAN'T HAVE THE MORE ROBUST PARTS AND LIFESPAN OF REAR WHEEL DRIVE CARS LIKE THE CROWN VICTORIA.
