Sorry, must have missed part of the question, can you check what exactly with a test light?

2004 Grand Cherokee (4.0)intermittent #1 cyl misfire and #1 injector control circuit fault (3 wks). Problem began after changing spark plugs. Replaced: coil pack, 6 injectors, & Bank #1-#2 O2 sensors.

I worked on one with the same issue. Ended up being the harness burned at the rear of the engine on the exhaust. Burned wires going to coil pack and shorted when I moved the wires to the coil packs.

I have no start and no ground to injectors. 99 tahoe 5.7

The PCM controls the ground to the injectors. Does the check engine light come on for a bulb check when the key is turned on? Check ECM fuses in underhood fuse/relay center. There is usually 2 10 amp fuses protecting the PCM circuitry.

How did you check for the ground pulse? Each injector ground wire goes individually to the pcm to be grounded internally. It is unlikely that all 4 (or 6, if the 4.3L) ground wires would be damaged or broken. Can you ohm out 1 or 2 of the ground wires from injector to pcm connector-to check for breaks or wire integrity? If they good, more likely the pcm/vcm is not being fully powered up. Or maybe the security system has somehow disabled the injector circuit?

Here is a way to check the ground circuit: Use a test light. Clip the test light lead to the POSITIVE battery post, and put the probe into a ground wire terminal of one injector. When the engine is being cranked over, the test light should be blinking, meaning the pcm is grounding the circuit internally. You are putting battery voltage into the ground wire. When the test light blinks, the pcm is grounding the circuit.

Engine code p110

P0303 Code - Cylinder #3 Misfire
P0110 DTC - IAT Circuit Malfunction
P2195 O2 Sensor Signal Biased/Stuck Lean (Bank 1 Sensor 1) Code
Potential causes of a P2195 code include:
  • Oxygen (O2) or A/F ratio sensor or sensor heater malfunction
  • Open or short in O2 sensor circuit (wiring, harness)
  • Fuel pressure or fuel injector problem
  • Faulty PCM
  • Intake air or engine vacuum leaks
  • Faulty fuel injector(s)
  • Fuel pressure too high or too low
  • PCV system leak/fault
  • A/F sensor relay faulty
  • MAF sensor malfunction
  • ECT sensor malfunction
  • Fuel pressure too low
  • Fuel leak
  • Air suction in air intake system
  • A code P0303 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
  • Faulty spark plug or wire
  • Faulty coil (pack)
  • Faulty oxygen sensor(s)
  • Faulty fuel injector
  • Burned exhaust valve
  • Faulty catalytic converter(s)
  • Running out of fuel
  • Poor compression
  • Defective computer
  • Potential causes of the P0110 DTC include:

  • po110
    • IAT sensor shifted out of airflow
    • Bad IAT sensor
    • Shorted to ground or open on signal circuit to IAT
    • Open in ground circuit to IAT
    • Poor connection at IAT (backed out terminals, broken connector locks, etc.)
    • Bad PCM

No spark to plugs 1999 ford f150 4.6l

Click on the link.
Voltage for fuse 18 comes from, pcm power relay.
Terminal 30, load side of relay is fuse protected and hot all the time. If you unplug that relay and use jumper wire between terminal 30 and 87, fuse 18 should go hot. That should mean, the control side of relay has a problem, The control side needs voltage and ground.

2000 acura tl 3.0 code p0304 , have moved coil around , moved s.plug , switched injector

You need to check for both power and ground at the #3 fuel injector wiring harness connector. The power comes off of an ignition hot [has power when ignition is on] fuse. The ground is made by the PCM [engine computer]. Either borrow or buy [less than $15] a "Noid" light for your car. Noid lights are little test lights which fit into the injector wiring harness connector. With the engine running [or cranking], the Noid light should flicker on and off. If it does, your problem is mechanical [lack of compression] on #3. If the light does not flicker, use a test light to check to see if you have power at one of the two wires with the key in the ON position. No power, find and fix the open circuit in the wire. If you have power, than the issue is either the ground wire going into the PCM, or the driver diode [inside the PCM] is bad and you need a new PCM.

Do you know how to test electrical circuit's with a volt meter ? Power an grounds and control for the coil #3 cylinder ,plus fuel injector ? If you don't know how to do automotive electrical circuit testing ,your best bet would be to take it to a qualified repair shop. The coil is computer controlled , pull it an see if you see or hear it sparking . Is the fuel injector firing. ? Videos on youtube showing how to test. Do you know what a wiring diagram is ? Free one's here Enter vehicle info. year ,make , model and engine . Under system click on engine then under subsystem click on fuel controls . Click the search button then the blue link. Scroll down to diagram # 6 . Coil circuits . Pink with black trace - B+ voltage , black is ground , brown is signal ground in the PCM - computer . orange with white trace is coil trigger signal from the PCM . Diagram #9 is fuel injector electrical circuits . Test power and grounds . You probably have a bad coil or injector ,wiring issue , or a bad driver inside the PCM . If the PCM needs to be replaced it will need programming , dealer only .

Car starts and runs for about 13 to 20 minutes got new computer map mas still no go. wait for engine to cool off and will start. fan does not engage but sensors test ok. during diagnostics fan will run i ...

Just did one in my shop yesterday. MY problem was injectors shorting out drivers in PCM after half hour of cooling down it would restart and die again about 20mins later. You need to narrow down what is dropping out. Most likely your loosing injector pulse and/or spark. You can buy a noid light for injector testing and a inline spark tester which you can tag on igition coil pack from local parts store also you can tag into injector harness on passenger side of engine with noid light, when it stalls see if light is blinking while cranking on both testers. IF you have spark but no injector pulse you have one or more injectors shorting (acceptable range is 13 ohms) any lower than 13 ohms injectors are toast. IF no spark and no pulse your ignition module and or crank sensor are bad, replace both, module is under coil pack and sensor on side of block.

Trac off light came on and off then stayed on while driving, p0203p0204 p0300 codes when scanned with little machine better read open circuts in both injectors loss of power

P0203 - Injector Circuit Malfunction Cylinder 3

Powertrain Control Module (PCM) or Electronic Control Module (ECM) checks the injectors circuit resistance and monitors the voltage drop during normal operation. The PCM/ECM will trigger the P0203 code when the resistance or voltage drop at the injector #3 is out of specifications.

- Open or shorted wiring harness to the injector #3
- Bad injector #3

- If damage, repair injector wire harness or connector
- Replace injector
- Replace PCM or ECM

P0204 - Injector Circuit Malfunction Cylinder 4

Same info as the P0203 DTC

P0300 - Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected

When a misfire occurs, engine speed will fluctuate. If the engine speed fluctuates enough to cause the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor (POS) signal to vary, Powertrain Control Module (PCM) or Electronic Control Module (ECM) can determine that a misfire is occurring.

- Improper spark plug
- Insufficient compression
- Incorrect fuel pressure
- The injector circuit is open or shorted
- Fuel injectors may be faulty
- Intake air leak
- The ignition signal circuit is open or shorted

- Perform Injector Service
- Replace Spark Plugs
- Replace Injectors
- Replace Ignition Coils
