It's connected to the booster assembly off the firewall drivers side. I can provide a diagram if you give me the engine size although the vacuum hose for the brake system is in the same area.

I would suspect you have a problem with ABS control valve if you are sure grease from the rear diff isn't getting on the shoes.

2001 ford explorer sport will start but won't idle

Most likely there is a vacuum leak somewhere, check all small hoses and plastic "T" fittings for cracks or breaks, could be a vacuum line to the heater control, power brake booster also, listen for hissing noise @ startup. Happy hunting.

Ford explorer idling too high

High idle is in almost all caused caused by a vacuum leak on the engine, get a can of carburetor spray and spray around the top of the engine, if you hit a leak it will make the engine sound different and there will be a sucking noise. Also check for hoses that are leaking that connect to the intake vacuum source. If no leaks are found you will need the system scanned for faults in the idle speed control system.

Fule is leaking in 1993 ford explorer

The possible leackage could be the sending unit fuel line rusted and "cracked" after braking the bolts you might have to tap new threads to get the skid plate off then replace the sending unit. Hope this helps seen alot of 93 explorer's do this.....
