How much does it cost to replace transmission

A replacement transmission from a reputable manufacturer with warranty will set you back around $800.0 to $I,200.00, plus labor... Unless you can get it from a reputable junk yard with warranty...
In my humble opinion, a 1999 car transmission is not worth the headache/cost. Good luck!

Transmission for dodge stratus replacement?

If the transmission has been remanufactured then there should definitely be some sort of warranty, if it is a used transmission then it is up to the supplier of the trans to decide if there is any kind of warranty. If it is a reputable shop and it is a remanufactured trans then I would expect the warranty to cover parts and labor, but if it is used I would only expect the part to be covered and any labor would have to be paid again if there is a problem. In either case I would make sure that the torque converter seal, rear seal or axle seals, and pan gasket with filter be changed before the new trans is installed.

I am being told by my warranty provider that the transmission seal is not a covered part. If there is a leak, wouldn't the leak originate at the transmission... which is covered by warranty?

I think thats a bunch of **** if they cover the rear seal then they dam well cover the front seal. That does not make any sense, the trans. has a rear seal and a front seal they are both a part of the transmission.

I have a 2006 chevy hhr ,I work at sears and they checked it they said it was the sensor in the transmission.I have the extended warranty - is that something they can just reset.

No, a bad sensor in the transmission will have to be replaced in most cases to rectify the situation.
It may not be covered under a Sears Warranty if the Sears Auto Center in your area doesn't work on Transmissions.

What extended warranty do you have, and does it cover this?

Transmission in 2008 dodge grand caravan vibrates in reverse on incline.

The revers band sounds like it needs to be adjusted so it's not slipping. You caravan is a 2008 so the transmission should still be under warranty unless you do lots of driving around, if it's past the warranty coverage, bring it to a transmission shop and have the fluid, filter replaced and the revers band adjusted since the transmission pan is going to be dropped. Good luck friend. Keep me posted if you want to try to tighten up the bands your self, nut i think it's better for you to take it in, Less mess and job will be done right with warranty.

2001 HONDA ACCORD CODE P0740 TRANSMISSION

Horsecrap...go to an independent transmission dealer after you call the extended warranty folks and complain!
I can count the number of Honda transmissions that go bad before 300,000 miles on one hand.
Good Luck

Transmission slips gears and clunks around after about 20 minutes of driving. i just pasted over my warranty

you will need the transmission repaired, this is a common problem, sorry that it happened to you after your warranty. they may still fix it under warrenty as this is a major problem, with this trans.
if you are not to far over warranty they may play with numbers to get you covered.
sometimes!
other wise it is about $2300+ repair.
