Any rubber bushing--leaf spring ends, anti-roll bar ends, supports, and links, Inner lower front suspension arm bushings. Tie rod ends, ball joints at bottom of front struts may need grease or replacement. Auto supply houses carry rubber lubricants--don't use motor oil--WD-40 works but doesn't last long.

When I go over a small bump or any change in the road, I hear a small but incessant squeek. I can not locate the noise but i assume it is coming from the suspension.l David

It is hard to find squeeks, It could be bushings, struts, tierods, balljoints, even engine and transmission mounts. The worst one I found after five other people they said was in the dash. vynil was dry and most everytime you hit a bump it would squeek. I sprayed it down heavily with armorall and cured the squeek. Good luck

Squeaky car

wmashfordhol please contact me via email. I would like to learn more about your sqeeking. My wife has a '04 Outlander with 67kmi which has the same squeeking in the rear. But the squeeking is more evident in lateral movement as opposed to up or down. I believe these cars have sway bars in the rear, so maybe there is a chance that that the bushings for this are worn.

My 2004 chevy tahoe makes a squeaking noise while driving and now there's brake dust forming on the rims.

If the squeeking is happening over bumps, and is not related to breaking, it could be a bearing in the steering linkage. My tahoe is doing the same thing, and my local garage says it is only a dealer fix. That is why I am searching this site now, is to find out if anyone else is complaining about this. I was told that GM is fully aware of this problem.

Loud sqoeeking noise when turning front wheels

is it a squeeking or a squeeling....

If it is a squeeking noise, take the car to have every thing on the front suspention lubed up, is possible it is dried out.

If it is a squeeling noise, then that means you need a new drive belt.
