You cannot bypass this under the hood> You will have to get at it from underneath the car> If you can find an adapter that will connect the two different hose sizes together than you can do it that way> otherwise not much else you can do besides JB underwater weld and cement the cracks>

My heater doesn't work on my 2000 Intrigue. The blower works and it doesn't overheat. What could be the problem

There are two reasons that could be the cause. The most common is that the blend door in the heater control box is non-operational and is not routing the air from the blower through the heater core. The other possibility is that the heater core is clogged and not getting coolant flow. Actually, a third (more remote) possibility is that if the car is used, a previous owner may have bypassed the heater core if it was leaking. You would have to check the heater hoses under the hood to make sure they are being routed through the firewall and not connect to each other, bypassing the heater core.

I had my heater core bypassed and now I am having electrical problems. Can anyone give me advice as to what is wrong.

Unless the mechanics damaged some under-hood electrical circuitry during the bypass process, there is nothing that a heater core bypass can do to affect electrical operations of the vehicle.

Heater hose bypass

I'm guessing you have a bad heater core? To bypass this, you can disconnect hoses from the heater core. You may be able to do this from under the hood or under the car, but it may also be under the dash. IWhen you get these disconnected, you can use a piece of copper tubing or something the sameput the copper tubing into the ends of the hoses joining them together, bypassing the heater core. If it's your heater hose gon, you can cut it shorter by the leak but it is all best to replace rather than hack. Good luck with it. I hope that is what you maen't

Under the hood is a drain for the cowling under the wiper arms. There is a plastic tube that gets clogged and water can't drain from that area. It is against the firewall on the passenger side. I found mine full of pine needles

No heat 1995 chrysler LHS I replaced the thermostat, had the heater cor flushed out. just keep getting cold air out of all vents. Thank you

your heater hoses to your core are either bypassing the core or the valve is not working and stuck in the closed position.

My 1996 Cadillac Sedan Deville heater blows cool air and engine is running at normal temps. It never seems to get up to temperature.

If you are not the original owner, the previous owner may have bypassed the heater core. The heater core is like a small radiator that has hot water running through it from your motor. It is inside of your dash board, near your a/c and heater controls. That is how yur car gets hot air. The air runs through the heater core making it hot. Bypassing it is a cheap and quick fix for a leaking heater core. When they get a leak, they leak all inside the car down to the floor board. Check under the hood along the fire wall. If it is bypassed, you will see two hoses spliced together. One will be bigger that the other slightly. If this is your problem, you are more thatn likely need to replace your heater core

Heater core replacement

You do not have to do anything with the air conditioning, its all inside car under right side of dash. 1. go under hood and unhook heater hoses and bracket( if equiped) from core tubes. 2. go under dash right side remove 13mm bolt far right under dash thats so you can pull dash out a little ways to get cover off heater where heater core is.3. 1/4 in. socket set and 1/4 in. socket take screws out holding cover on look close there is one hidden top far right can't remember how maney 5 or 6 i think, screws all out use a little finess and remove cover and there will be your heater core. Good luck.
