The fuse connected the circuit that was faulty and probably blew again
check the fuse and find where the wiring is dead shorting to ground

Try checking all the grounds for the radio, over time they can weeken. If that doesn't work, put in a new ground wire with a heavier gauge, that should fix it. It sounds like a ground problem.

Good luck, Daniel

SOURCE: T100 tail lights & dash light keep blowing fuses

If this vehicle has a trailer harness, that could be the problem; it could be shorted out. Additionally, if there is no trailer harness, look under the truck bed at the rear, look for a grey wiring connector that wires come out of, and run to the taillamps. I have observed corrrosion in this connector, which will result in a short circuit. You may find it necessary to cut the connector out and resplice the wires back together (eliminate the connector), if severe corrosion is indeed present.

SOURCE: 1993 jeep grand cherokee limited no running lights/tail lights.

Id look at the headlight switch and do some voltage tests to see whats coming out of there. Pay close attention to any wires which look like someone was in there already.People can mess stuff up faster and better than the vehicle can by itself!

SOURCE: Just recently my 98 Toyota Corrolla has started blowing a fuse.

I would remove the dome light, and disconnect the wiring connector, and then put in another fuse. If it does not blow, I would think that the dome light switch is shorted to ground.

Speedometer odometerand gas gauge interior lamps not working

There are probably 2 wires for illumination and dimming (grey and brown, if I recall). If either of these are shorted or connected to other wires, problems can occur. BTW, older GM's had the dome lighting tied into the brake light system; No dome light also meant no brake lights. Make sure your brake lights work!!! Check fuses for instrument lighting and brake lights as well.

Make sure these wires are electrically isolated, then check/replace the fuse(s). This should take care of your problem. Good luck!!

Did you check to make sure no other fuses blew? I would also check your alternator and battery to make sure you dont have an over charging alternator causing fuses to blow.

If that many things went out at the same time its most likely a fuse issue. There are usually 2 fuse panels in the Jeep - one under the hood and one by the steering column. Check the proper fuses to see if they blew out and replace if needed.
