Question about 1997 Chevrolet Cavalier
Avalanche was parked next to a tree that was hit by lightning. Literally blew up a chip inside the PCM. Replaced PCM with new unit that had been programmed by a auto shop in the US (The avalanche is in the BAHMAS) Followed passslock reprogramming, except the security telltale does not stay on for ten minutes (only about three seconds) Will not start. All fuses good. Where is the PAsslock code stored? Is there another computer I need to replace. HArdly anyhting else on the truck works (winsheild wipers, hazard flasher, drivers side power mirror, cig lighter, aux outlet, horn) thats about it
Check the fuse and relay again, make sure that the pcm wire are connect properly, get it reprogramme

Tips for a great answer:
Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC)
Powertrain control module (PCM)
The above modules, with the exception for the Passlock?"¢ Sensor must also be programmed with each module's own vehicle configuration. See the individual module service manual section.
Time required, approximately 10 minutes.
