spec for 4m51 ==5.2 l direct injection diesel
spec for 4d32 ==3.5 l direct injection diesel
bore /stroke 104 x 105
specs for 4d33=4.2l
bore stroke =108 x115
you problem is the length of the stroke which is governed by the throw of the crank pin ( distance from the center of the main journal to the center of the con rod pin)
As there are significant differences in torque ratings between the engines it is possible that the bearing sizes will differ and the blocks will be different
That being the case , it is doubtful if the heads are interchangable
Engine reconditioning companies will possibly have all of the specs for bearings , pistons and heads and you may be able to get a ready comparison or go to en.m.wikipedia.org to get a better idea of the differences
they need to be carefully lightly preloaded or 1 0r 2 thou clearance, best set by feel, not tight to spin wheel,no loose movement of wheel, you can feel it when you tighten nut where it suddenly stops
There is no torque value. Commonly, Head bolts are tightened and then removed in sequence as you step threw 3 values: 23/33/45 ft lbs then the final value is achieved by rotating the bolts 90 degrees so the final value is unknown.
You have to get either a hayes manual or follow a procedure online if you are replacing the head gasket. If you are not replacing the gasket do not "re-torque" the head bolts thinking that you can fix a head gasket leak.
