The problem is either your switch or the actual valve that switches the tank. I hope that helps you out!

Truck with dual tanks wont run unless i mess with tank select switch what to look for?

I would start with a new switch. If the rear tank is showing full and you know the tank is empty it could be a bad ground.

Gas leaking from my tank switch

Use compression barb fittings on the pressure side with fuel injection line NOT REGULAR FUEL HOSE THE REGULAR HOSE WONT HOLD UP TO THE PRESSURE. The return line can be regular fuel line because of the low pressure.

My fuel is being sucked from the rear tank to the front how can i disconnect the front tank

Its very hard to plug the front tank. I had the same problem and found that each fuel pump has a check valve built into the pump so when you switch tanks it wont let fuel be pumped from tank to tank. Mine had no switching valve only the switch in the cab switched power from pump to pump and the built in check valves in each pump prevents fuel from being pumped back into that tank when the other one is pumping. It took me weeks to figure that out so I hope it helps...

1997 F250 with dual fuel tanks. Fuel from the rear tank siphons into the front tank. When I try using the front tank the engine cuts out under load. Also truck wont start using the front tank

If fuel injected. the tank selector valve switches both the suction line from the tank and the return line back to the tank. It sounds like you have a stuck or bad tank selector valve if the return is not being ported back to the rear tank.

Try cleaning your fuel lines, fuel pumps if seperated at the tank, and fuel filters. If you have ever run out of gas in either tank, sediment from the bottom could have clogged the lines. Pump float might be stuck on an inner cavity or drain line inside tank. It may be switching, but if the float is stuck on something inside the tank, it will say it is empty when it is full. Tell me if this helps. I have recently replaced the entire fuel sys in my vehicle.

WHEN SWITCHING TO FRONT TANK THE SWITCH SEEMS TO WORK BUT RUNS OUT OF GAS, IS THERE A VALVE THAT COULD POSSIBLY BE STUCK OR BROKEN? ALSO THE REAR TANK SEEMS TO BE FILLING INTO THE FRONT TANK

yes you will need to replace the switching valve, located under truck on driverside inside frame rail, also you may have a bad fuelpump, but you wont know until valve is changed.

1992 ford f150 Truck shut down at 60mph and now fuel pumps wont

Where does the fuel come from that leaks out when running? If you have dual fuel tanks and one tank is overflowing you will need to check the fuel tank switch in the dash. Ford had a problem with these that caused the fuel pump from one tank to pump fuel to the other tank and cause it to overflow. If this is the case the tank switch is probably defective.
They can get very hot and melt the wires into the back of the switch. Check the switch first.
