Hello, VW polos 1.0, 1.4. 1.6, suffer from carbon bulid up in the throttle bodys causing bad idling, esp the Bosch Mono-Motronic (Throttle Body Injection systems), a good clean with carb cleaner should repair the problem, also engine temp sensor replacement and idle speed control valve replacement can help idle problems.

Hi rita d ,
the answer to your question according to information supplied by auto data ( the bible to us techs) is 60Nm, then a further 90 degrees. You should also use new bolts. Hope this helps,
Doc Scott

If you have a 4 or 5 speed transmission, and have to use a clutch, try letting the clutch pedal up more slowly. If it's an automatic, only a mechanic can adjust the problem for you. Sometimes a mechanical non-automatic clutch gets oily or dirty, which can also cause that kind of jerkiness and chatter. See if you can take it to a car wash where they have a lift which can take the car into the air and blow very hot soapy water into the clutch area, to try and clean it of oil, etc.
