You may need to make a map sensor conversion. Just saw a writeup on that (think it was on jeep forum.com). The problem isn't so much that it has too much air, but not enough fuel added to air.

How do you adjust idle on toyota 3.4 v6

If the vehicle is fuel injected, its not adjustable, and is computer managed.

If the vehicle is equipped with carb, then adjust the screw on the throttle body, until it runs right.

Where is the throttle body on 2007 jeep patriot 2.4

In the 2007 jeep patriot the throttle body is located on the bottom right hand corner of the engine near the cooling fan, under the coolant hose coming from the radiator. If you follow the air intake hose from the air filter, which sits right above the battery, it ends at the throttle body. Once you take the battery out, undo the air intake hose from the filter, remove the filter casing, and undo the coolant hose from the engine you will have much easier access to the throttle body. The hardest part is loosening the clamp on the air intake hose connecting it to the throttle body (tight space). Once that hose is off, the throttle body has 4 bolts to the block and 1 mounting bracket bolt and than it comes out easy.

Idle adjustment for a 1995 2.5 liter fuel injected engine, there is an adjustment screw below the throttle throat intake, what tool is used to make micro adjustments to idle speed?

Idle is controlled by an idle air control valve and the throttle position sensor-that setting you are referring to is set at the factory, the ECM will override any changes you make. You should clean thoroughly the throttle body and the PCV valve ,check for any vacuum leaks, and possibly remove the Idle air control and clean it, being careful NOT to get the top half wet with cleaner (electronics).

Idle to fast how do i adjust the idle

If you have injection you can't. Check the coolant temperature sensor and the intake air temp sensor as well as the idle air control. First though, clean the throttle body bore where the throttle plate is...often that gets gummed up and doesn't close properly.

2002 sierra 5.3l just bought a trottle body spacer

If you still have the receipt to throttle body spacer, bring it back. The spacer does not do much for the 5.3 since the fuel injectors are not in the throttle body, but it in the intake manifold just before the intake ports to the cylinder heads. Here is a link that should help you gain as much HP for your 5.3 with easy mods and most of them are free to do. Good luck and keep me posted if you have any more questions to performance your looking for friend. http://www.sshotrods.com

2001 Jeep Wrangler makes whistling sound except when you accelerate. Everytime you put your foot on the gas, it stops....take your foot off the gas and it whistles

if you have an aftermarket intake on the jeep the throttle body is making the whistle... there are many aftermarket throttle body spacers out there that can eliminate this...
if you dont than I think that we have the same problem... might be a vacuum leak if the jeep idles funny or it could be an exhaust manifold leak... I'll let you know if I figure out mine. :)

Cant find IAT on 99 jeep grand cherokee laredo...

Intake Air Temperature sensor.

It has to be installed ->BEFORE the throttle body, to sense the density of the air entering the intake manifold, based upon intake manifold temperature.

It provides an input voltage to the PCM, (Powertrain Control Module)
It's a Negative Thermal Coefficient sensor, (NTC. It uses two wires)

Meaning, as intake manifold temperature Increases, resistance in the sensor increases.
(Less voltage)
As the temperature Decreases, resistance in the sensor Decreases. (More voltage)

The PCM then uses this input to calculate the following;
1.Injector-Pulse Width
2.Adjustment of spark timing.

Just thought you might want to know.

Wish I knew what size your engine is.
A. The IAT in the 3.7 Liter engine, is located in the Left side, {Drivers} of Intake Manifold Plenum. (BEFORE the throttle body)

See that plastic 'snorkel' tube, that comes from the air cleaner housing, and goes to an oval shaped aluminum housing? That oval shaped, {On the end}, housing is the Intake Manifold Plenum.

The 4.7 Liter engine has the IAT in the same place.
The 4.0 Liter has the IAT installed INSIDE, the Front of the Intake Manifold Plenum. (Before the throttle body)

The color of the two wires are Brown with a Yellow stripe, (Thick 20 gauge wire), and Black with a Red stripe. (Thinner wire. 18 gauge)

Jeep starts sluggish and then wants to die

It is most likely from that actually. You may need to adjust the air / fuel mixture after modding the intake. Sounds like its getting too much air.

some times when you put performance parts you have to adjust the gas flow to the engine and check you IDLE CONTROL VALVE that would cause reving on your car and your friends car also
