Question about 1998 Volkswagen Jetta
Trying to use the cigarette lighter as a charger for my phone, but it won't work. looked in the fuse box, but none are labeled as such. where to replace fuse?
Yes: there is a 15 amp fuse for it located above the relays in the drivers side of the car.. I found it was the top one of the 3 fuses. it is almost impossible to see theses unless you remove the bottom section of the dash under the stering column.

I had this same problem you have to get to three fuses above the relays, which is above the first set of fuses on the drivers side.it's the 15amp fuse on top

Check for corrosion in the unit--try to use the cigarette lighter--push in and out several times--if it don't get hot then there is no power--check the handbook for fuse ID but normally not an issue.
