could be a thermastat or your heater coil; try starting your vehicle aand putting ani freeze while engine is running but still relativley cool, sounds to me there isnt any fluid getting through to the heater coil

Your vehicle speed sensor is mounted in the transaxle housing which is also subject to heating and cooling. The wiring harness to and from the speed sensor is also subjected to engine heating and cooling. Anybody that knows anything about electrical circuits can tell you that an electrical circuit's worst enemy is heat. You need to diagnose the vehicle speed sensor circuits like the code is TELLING you to do.

Radiator fans not working car is running hot.

Turn vehicle off. Allow to cool. Raise hood.
Try to see if the fans spin freely by hand. If not, replace. If they do spin, proceed to next step.
Next step-
Check coolant level, add if needed. Remember-radiator must be cool before opening cap. Make sure radiator cap is secure and tight if coolant was added.
Start vehicle. Observe coolant gauge as vehicle warms. Fans should come on when temp gauge reads halfway between c and h.
If fans do not come on see if they come on when you turn on ac or heat. If doing this makes them come on, suspect faulty cooling fan sensor switch. If they don't come on replace cooling fan sensor switch and fan relay.

Look undr the hood at the connectors that go to the fan motor and the ristiors check for bad connectors by starting the vehicle and turning the fan motor on .Then start moveing the connectors and wires around and see if the fan comes on . If so then its a bad connection and it needs to be cleaned or fixed .If not then you need to check switches to see if they are supplyed with power and the fan motor it self for voltage . But a lot of the time its just a bad connection and just needs some cleaning

If you are having a problem with overheating then I would be worried about it I have worked on these types vehicles alot and most the time when you turn on the vehicle the fans dont normally kick in until the teperature rises then they will kick in just long enough to cool the engine down then they will turn off then the cycle begains again over and over so you see it is always that when you turn on the vehicle that the fans should turn on. Yes the ets or ects does send the signal to have the fans turned on but if the vehicle does not need to be cooled then they will not turn on. Try idling the vehicle long enough to heat the engine up to a temperature hot enough to turn the fans on you will see they come on then off DO NOT OVER HEAT THE ENGINE THOUGH.

After the vehicle is running for an hour, the vehicle get hot and shut itself off.. After it cool down, it start up. We were told it might be in the steering column.

have you replaced yor thermostat? have you checked your radiator cooling fans to see if they are coming on while your car is heating up? when your temp. guage is halfway up your fan should come on. you can check fuses and relays in fuse box[black box under hood drivers side] check those to see if fuses are blown or if fan relays are coming on[ticking while engine heating up]radiator could need flushing out also, just narrow your search some by elimination. if you open radiator cap before you start engine,then start motor, let it warm up.look for circulation,,flow of fluid,bubbling, then thats a sign it's circulating,thermostat is good. no flow means that thermostat not opening,thats bad thermostat.replace the thermostat.if not that are fans coming on? when engine at mid range on temp. guage does fan come on? if not check fuses @ fan relay. if fan comes on ,it's good.check water pump pulley for wobbly pulley while motor not running, shake pulley back @ forth for play. any play in pulley means bad water pump. are the belts on? i went through everything i would look for myself. hope this finds your problem!!!!

My radiator fans don't come on unless the AC is on what do you think would cause that?

Most people think that the fans should be running all the time . This is not so. The fans turn on when the motor reaches a certain temperature this will cool the engine down then they will turn off then back on again as the motor heats up. M.ost vehicles will automatically actuate the fan motors when you turn on the a/c and keep them running while the a/c is on .This is normal. Try idling your vehicle for about thirty to fourty minutes and see if within that time your fans dont come on and turn of automatically without the a/c on.

Should the radiator fan on 95 JGC run at ALL times that the engine is running?

What happens is the fan run constantly and the temerature of the engine is what determines how fast or slow it goes.

When the engine heats up, so does the thermostatic fan clutch. When the fan clutch heats up it expands, making it tighter to move and when your vehicle cools down. so does the clutch, making it looser. Test it out. Before you turn on your vehicle, move the fan. You'll notice that you can spin it without much effort. Then turn on the vehicle and let it heat up. Once you turn it off, attempt to spin it. You'll see that it's much harder and if the clutch is good, it won't spin at all. Rather, it will just move a bit.

When you vehicle (and the clutch) heats up, it blows "gusts" of cool air at the engine but when it is cool, it blows more of a breeze. Hope all this helped.
