Question about 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee

When cold it will run ok, but after it warms up it starts missing until it dies. I let cool off for a while and it will start again. I replace the spark plugs, crank sensor and the coil pack. When it starts acting up it seems like is running on four cylinders.

I scanned the engine codes and it gives me code #P0352. The jeep is still setting in the garage.

The 2003 model Cherokee Laredo with the 4.0 inline engine doesn't have a distributor; the camshaft took the place of it. It seems to me like I have a problem with a sensor, computer or a connection. When the engine warms 210 degrees normal operating temperature, the engine starts acting up. The engine starts missing until it dies. The funny part is that when I put the transmission in reverse, the engine dies, but if I put it in drive most of the time the engine will run fine.

If u have a scan tool make sure the distributer is in sync. I sugest the u rent a DRB3 from chrysler at techauthurity.com. Adjust the the distributer and set the cam/crank sync close to 0 if the sync does not move the distributer and drive gear(camshaft) is damaged. It sound like a sync problem though let me know if this helps.

On my 88 Lincon Mark 5 when it is cold it will start but it misses after it starts to warm up it shuts off and has difficulty starting back everytime we go to put it in gear it will die it wont even...

Sounds like you have a bad ign. module. When the engine is cold moisture causes the miss and when the engine warms the module shorts out all together.

1992 cavalier. starts and drives fine, but will die after it's been driven if i try to put it in gear again. What's the problem? bought it site unseen, drove it home about 7 miles and it started sputtering...

Try pulling the vacuum line off of the EGR valve when the engine is warm and starts to sputter. If it runs good cold and then dies when warm and won't start again until the engine cools it is most likely a bad or sticking EGR valve. Try the procedure to confirm it is the EGR. You can check the internet for location and an image of the EGR valve for your specific car. Please rate me on this answer.

1970 Chevy 350 in C30 truck dies when warm

You need to find oput what you loose when the truck shuts off, all you need is Air, Fuel , and spark to run one of the three are droppuig out when it stalls and will not run. Chech the carb for gas it sounds like you have a weak fuel pump.

Cold starts ok warms up shakes and stalls

check engine coolant temperature when it gets warmer, or at operating temperature, and verify that the temperature gauge is showing warmed up to operating temperature. If the coolant temperature sensor tells the computer the engine is cold it will over fuel and miss and the engine will die. When cooled down it will run fine until it warms up. Also could be coil if it starts missing after warmed up.

4 cyl Engine starts and idles ok...give it throttle and it dies

I need to get a clear mental picture of what exactly is happening.

With this said, you stated that the car "runs fine" until warmed up.

Q: When you start the car when cold it idles fine?
Q: If you allow the car to idle until "fully" warmed does the car stall?
Q: As the car begins to warm up, Does the RPM fluctuate abnormally?
Q: Does the car Only stall when you press on the gas pedal or does it stall just sitting and idling in addition to pressing the gas pedal?
Q: If you can drive it while cold does the car stall during acceleration when warm or only at Stop Signs / Lights?
Q: If you wait 20min or so, can you start the car again?
Q: How many miles are on the car?
