How to replace a/c clutch cycling switch

the ac clutch control is normally the thermostat switch . It is located near the evaporator inside the car and has a small tube attached to the evaporator coils . It is normally electric so the removal of the thermostat should not affect the gas level

My Blower on my 2003 E500 mercedes is not working, where is the fuse loacated

I wish I could help with the exact location but most are in the fuse panel under the hood, but since you said you charged the ac, im wondering if you overcharged the the ac, because there is a high pressure sensor that will shut off the operation of your heater and ac control unit inside on the dash when you overcharge with freeon.

How do you remove water pump from it"s housing!

When removing the pump unit with special tool (some auto-parts stores rent them), TURN CLOCKWISE TO LOOSEN the pump-unit, counter-clockwise to tighten. The Torq Specs for the pump-unit is: 73 Foot Pounds. There are stop tabs on the pump-unit that mate with the tab stoppers on the main water pump housing unit. I had to re-torq by visually viewing where the stop tabs where after the first torq, don't over-torq or you will bend the tab stoppers on the pump unit. ALSO...the water pump-unit front cover requires a new rubber gasket (you'll have to order it through GM or use RTV silicone under the old gasket, which has a grooved fitting inside the front cover). The Torq Specs for the front cover (5 bolts) and water neck cover (2 bolts) is: 89 Inch Pounds. Those small bolts tighten normal, clockwise.

I had my ac charged with freeon in June and a month later I have no ac. I don't think this is a compressor problem. Any idea where to leak could be?

Check to see if you still have freeon. If not you have a leak. Most auto parts stores sell freeon with a stopleak and oil combination charging system.

How many pounds of r134 and how much oil ozs.

somewhere around 1.6 pounds (1lb.14ounces) of R134a if system is evacuated and 3 ounces of oil with new compressor.
keep pressure on the low side around 34-37psi & it should blow snow. Below are normal car AC pressure readings with 134A.
  • Normal readings on high and low side with AC OFF (static pressure) – Depends on outside temperature, but normally is between 80-105 PSI
  • Normal low side reading with AC on high speed and MAX & engine at 800-1000 RPM’s – Ranges from 25-35 PSI –
  • Normal high side reading ranges from 200-350 PSI
Don’t assume that if adding little Freon is good that adding a lot is better! Overcharging just a little can decrease the performance of the system and possibly damage the compressor.
DIY recharge kit:
With the AC on the coldest setting, use a thermometer in a middle vent. Normal vent temperature readings will vary depending on the (ambient) outside temp. The vent temperature should range from around 42-55 degrees in my experience. If normal gauge readings are obtained and the vent air is cold – STOP don’t overcharge the system.
Thank you for using fixya and be safe.

Occasional hissing noise from a/c 2000 gmc sierra

This is pretty normal, the way the system works is by forcing liquid freeon through a orifice, the liquid turns to gas and gets very cold, the hissing is that process. You might be a tad low on freeon, but you shouldnt be worried.

My econ light remains on, on my 04 Audi A4. Various post report check the fuses initially. Which fuse do i need to check specifically?

This is normally one of 3 problems:

1 - Refriant too low
2 - Pressure sensor faulty
3 - Climate Control Unit faulty

In order of cost -

1 - Re gas approx 49 pounds
2 - New sensor - 50 Pounds
3 - New climate control unit circa 700 pound

I have just had the same issue and after a re gas and new sensor it all works okay.

Ac not working makes a fan rattling noise when ac is engauged

SOUNDS LIKE YOU ARE LOW ON FREEON YOUR SYSTEM NEEDS A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF PRESSURE TO TURN ON AND OFF SO THE FAN TURNS ON WHICH IS NORMAL BUT THE CLUTCH ON THE A/C COMPRESSOR IS NOT TURNING ON 1/2 -1 POUND NEEDS TO BE ADDED TO YOUR SYSTEM

A/c

I just filled my freeon today. You put it in the Big canister whear your line comes in from the compressor. So just follow the line coming from the compressor, closest to the passenger side. It should be capped with a black cap (The smaller black cap)
