Question about 2006 Acura MDX
Radio and navigation were intermittenly cutting off and now they don't work at all. Can't control heating/cooling output, use nav, see backup screen or hear the radio through the speakers. Dealer says I need to fix/replace the radio (which needs to be sent to Alpine), but the radio works through the rear headsets. I think there was an electrical short or cut in the connection. They checked all the fuses and said they are fine. Not sure what to do at this point. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
The Navigation system DVD has failed. You can order the load/play mechanism for it from China. (http://alibaba.com) This is where I found the replacement for my system. This is not a hard repair to make. Cost is between $60 and &120 for the part. Alpine and the dealer will want your first born to replace it.
